Yahoo under fire in Japan
Jacksonville News.Net Sunday 7th September, 2008
The Yahoo Japan website is under investigation for identity theft.
About 3,000 users of the auction site have claimed their ID’s were unknowingly being used to sell fake goods.
Police have received reports throughout Japan of people who are also challenging Yahoo fees for transactions they say they did not authorise.
Yahoo has said it is carrying out its own investigation but has so far not found any information leakage.
